Have you ever wondered? Who is God? Click here for a precise answer to that question:
Who is God?
This web site is dedicated to those around the world, who have never had the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus,- the gospel of the Kingdom of God. It is also dedicated to those, who follow the teachings of Jesus, at great cost to themselves, and their families, in nations that persecute those Christians, who have been born of God, into the Kingdom of God.

What exactly is " God's way ?" We find God's way revealed in many places in scripture. A good example is the account of the happenings in the garden of Eden. It is found in Genesis, the first book in the Bible, chapter 3. Here we see God GIVING ( creating the man and woman and placing them in paradise ) and GIVING them the right to chose whether to obey Him, or to follow after the temptations of God's adversary,- the one known as the Devil, or Satan. God's way is GIVING. The Devil's way is TAKING AWAY!
Unfortunately, the woman, known to us as Eve, and then the man, known to us as Adam, chose to follow the temptations of the adversary, and thus forfeited all the wonderful things, which God had GIVEN them. Had they chosen God's BETTER WAY, death would not have been passed on to all human beings. ( Romans 5:12 ) Think of all your friends and family who have died. Death is a needless tragedy for every one who dies, and their friends and relatives. Had our human ancestors accepted God's free GIFT, and obeyed Him, we would never have had to experience this sadness.
God GIVES and THE DEVIL takes away. That scenario has been repeated many many times down through the ages. It is being repeated over and over again, today, in our lives.
Jesus taught about this pattern in His teaching, in which He portrayed Himself as the good shepherd, in the gospel of John chapter 10. He said, " The thief ( the Devil ) does not come but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they ( His sheep ) may have life and that they may have it more abundantly ." Here's the patten again: God's representative Jesus ( God taking on a human body ) wants to GIVE abundant life ( a happy and full life ). The Devil wants to TAKE IT AWAY. Who decides? You decide whether you want to be one of His sheep,- a part of His kingdom. You decide whether to follow Jesus, and obey His commandments, or to follow after the temptations of the Evil One.
After Adam and Eve, most of the human race chose to follow after the temptations of the evil adversary. God then made a very painful decision. He decided to destroy the human race and start over. In order to make this new start, God chose one family, whom He would use to re-populate the world. God chose the family of Noah, a man whom scripture describes, as a preacher of righteousness. You can find this in 2nd Peter 2:5. He GAVE Noah instructions as to how to build a mammoth structure called an Ark. It shape was a little like some of the very large ocean going barges that exist today. Many have labeled this incorrectly as a boat, and thus have been mistaken in their conclusions about where it is now located. It was not a boat. One recent eyewitness has described it as looking like a coop ( a mammoth chicken coop or a barn )! It was what scripture says it was,- an Ark.
By the way, on this website, you can now view actual photos of pieces of Noah's Ark, still in existence, near the eastern summit of Mt. Ararat, in eastern Turkey. You can also view actual photos, taken by divers,- of coral covered chariots, and chariot wheels, left over from the Red Sea Crossing, in the Gulf of Aqaba ( part of the Red Sea ). After God caused a flood to destroy all air breathing life on the earth, except those in the Ark, the old pattern began to repeat itself. What God GAVE, the Devil, by tempting mankind, TOOK AWAY. Once again mankind rebelled against God, choosing instead the yield to the temptations of the Devil. Leading the rebellion, was a king named Nimrod. Scripture has very little to say about Nimrod, but other historical documents describe him as a fierce ruler, who tried to destroy every good person. Among those, whom he tried to kill, was a young man who wanted to obey God. His name was Abram.
God moved Abram away from Nimrod's territory, and gave Abram two sons. Then God tested him, asking him to sacrifice his youngest son, the son of promise, Isaac, as a burnt sacrifice on an altar. When Abram proceeded to obey God, in spite of the emotional pain which this caused him, God GAVE him a ram to replace Isaac on the altar. God then changed his name to Abraham. The Devil knew that Isaac would likely be the patriarch of a people who would follow God. The Devil tried to kill Isaac. God GAVE Abram the ram instead. You can read about this in the book of Genesis, chapter 22, in the Old Testament part of the Bible.
Isaac had two sons. The older son Esau, also known as Edom, chose not to obey God. The younger son Jacob, chose to serve God. God loved Jacob, and changed his name to Israel, which means " prince with God ". Jacob had 12 sons. The Devil enticed 10 of these sons to sell Joseph, Jacob's favorite son, into slavery in Egypt, and tried to destroy him. God blessed Joseph, and eventually made him ruler of Egypt, second in command, only to pharaoh. The end result, was that Jacob ( Israel ) and his entire family of over 70 people, moved to Egypt.
During 430 years in Egypt, the descendants of Israel grew to well over a million people. God GAVE many blessings to the group which came to be known as the " Children of Israel ". The Devil enticed the Egyptians to persecute them, and TAKE AWAY their blessings. God then rescued the children of Israel though the leadership of a deliverer named Moses, and led them out of Egypt, miraculously drying up a pathway across that part of the Red Sea, which today is called the Gulf of Aqaba. This allowed them to escape to a land that was then called Midian.
The ancient country known as Midian, is now a part of northwestern Saudi Arabia. Many artifacts, related to the Red Sea crossing, have been discovered in this area. You can now view some of these artifacts, on this web site. Just click on the appropriate link at the bottom of this page.
It was in Midian, in a region called Horeb, on Mt. Sinai, where God GAVE the children of Israel a set of laws. Sometimes this mountain is called the mountain of Horeb. The most famous, of these laws, are known as the TEN COMMANDMENTS. These laws are very simple, and specific, and can be summarized as " Love God, and your neighbor as yourself ." These commandments are sometimes called the OLD COVENANT, or OLD TESTAMENT. The Devil kept trying to entice the children of Israel to disobey God, and eventually succeeded and TOOK AWAY most of God's blessings.
The Children of Israel were eventually moved to the land we now know as the nation of Israel, but it was much larger then. Here they made the wrong choices, again and again. After many years, and many leaders, God allowed them to be captured by other nations, and ruled by their captors. Through their wrong choices, most of what God had GIVEN them, the Devil TOOK AWAY.
But, as usual, God had in mind a BETTER WAY. God gave the Children of Israel, and through them, GAVE US, a NEW COVENANT! This is often called the NEW TESTAMENT. This was to be through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of the promised Messiah, the one that today we know as Jesus Christ. The Bible book of Daniel tells us a little about Him in Daniel 9:24-27. The New Covenant is described in Jeremiah 31:31-34, Jeremiah 32:38-40, Ezekiel 11:18-20, Ezekiel 18:30-32, and Ezekiel 36:24-27.
The New Covenant ( New Testament ) goes something like this: For those willing to serve God and His Messiah, He will take out the old rebellious and self serving heart, and replace it with a new heart and a new human spirit, that desires to follow Him and serve Him. But, for those whose hearts are not willing to be changed, and continue to follow the desire for detestable things and their abominations, He will recompense their deeds on their own heads. Jesus called being changed, being born again. ( John 3:3-7 ) Looking deeper into the original language, we find that He actually said," You must be born from above ! " Earlier in his gospel, John called this new birth, being," born of God ."
If you think that Jesus taught something else, listen to what He says, " He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. " ( John 12:25-26 ) You can find similar teachings in Luke 14:33, Matthew 19:29, and in a number of other places.
God is GIVING you today, the same kind of choice, that He has given to millions of others in the past. You were born naturally from your mother, where you existed for about 9 months in the water environment of her womb. You can choose to be born again, this time by the Holy Spirit, so that you will want to obey God and serve Him, and receive a happy and meaningful life. Or, you can choose to continue letting your desires for thrills, and material things, and comfort, maintain control of your life, thus allowing the Devil to ROB you of the happy and meaningful life that God wants to GIVE you.
You ask, " How can I do this? " It is easy, if you are willing to let God change you. Pray, asking God to change you into the kind of person that He wants you to be. Ask, and keep on asking. When God sees that you really mean it, He will give you a new spiritual life,- the God kind of life!
