If you have never looked at the meaning of the words, Jesus, and Christ, you probably are wondering what is so great about His name. The word Jesus came from the Hebrew word, Yeshua, which means Savior, or some say " God is Salvation. " Christ is not really a name. It is a title. It came to us from the Greek word, χριστος, which means, Messiah. When you say Jesus Christ, you are saying much more than just a name. You are proclaiming who He is,- our Savior and our Messiah!
